VISION

In the eye with normal vision, the light is focused by cornea and lens onto retina allowing clear images to form. The Cornea and the lens are able to refract incoming light bringing it to a focus exactly on the visual center of the retina. If the light does not focus perfectly, a blurred image is formed – this is called a refractive error or ametropia.

In this section you can learn about the most common refractive errors: myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), astigmatism and presbyopia.
