Z-LASIK IS APPLICABLE TO A WIDE RANGE OF VISUAL CONDITIONS

Z-LASIK^® is suitable for correcting the following refractive errors:

• Myopia (Distant objects appear blurred).
• Hyperopia (Close objects appear blurred).
• Astigmatism (Objects appear distorted at all distances).

Many people have a combination of myopia and astigmatism, or of hyperopia and astigmatism. Such mixed visual errors can generally also be treated very well with Z-LASIK^®. Whether and how well your specific visual error can be treated with Z-LASIK depends on a number of factors, including severity of the error, the characteristics of your cornea (e.g., its thickness), and on pre-existing eye diseases. A thorough eye examination is indispensable for determining what is possible in your specific situation.

Z-LASIK^® can also be employed for correcting Presbyopia. But more options are available for treating this condition. If you need reading glasses after the age of 40, your doctor or counselor will work with you to determine the best solution for your case.
